Model boat building requires patience and precision, and the resulting models can be spectacular in their detail and complexity. We are proud to offer several kits for hobbyists, sourced from a maker who has been in the business since 1946. All parts are exceptionally high quality, made with exacting detail and a commitment to authenticity in materials, process, and decoration. This model is aimed at the more inexperienced builder and is a great entry-level project. The Lobster Smack was a style of fishing and lobster boat that was prevalent around the waters of Muscongus Bay northeast of Portland, Maine, in the late 1800’s. Our 1:24 scale version measures 14” long when completed, and is made from precision laser cut basswood for true plank on frame construction, with accurately sized fittings and rigging line, and a clear, step-by-step 34-page instruction booklet. A handsome wooden display base is also included. Made in the USA.
