Here’s a blast from the past: if you’re trying to lower your carbon footprint a bit and reduce your dependence on the electrical grid, this throwback carpet sweeper may be just the thing. The design has been around for generations: a long-handled, wheeled device that hides on its underside a set of stiff rolling bristles. As it rolls, it agitates and gathers dust and debris, transferring them into the body of the sweeper. To empty it, just hold it over your trash receptacle and press the top buttons to release debris below. First invented in the late 1800’s, these were supplanted by the rise of the electronic vacuum cleaner, but it’s a solid design that still works very well, particularly on low pile carpets and mats. Plus, it has a real retro charm, and it’s quiet (your pets will appreciate this feature!). Measures 45 51/64” x 10 45/64” x 7 51/64”. Made in Spain.
