This is a great pair to have in your kitchen drawer, especially when you need to tenderize and pound out chicken and pork for cutlets. The broad-handled 11½" Vintage Butcher Knife is part of a trove of re-discovered vintage cutlery, made decades ago by master craftsmen in Thiers, France. The medium-stiff 6½" blade can handle large cutting jobs, while the tapered tip allows for precision tasks like boning. With lovely brass pins. Made decades ago but never used. The Meat Mallet is made from one-piece cast-aluminum, with two different serration grades of tenderizers, including an aggressive, 8-star pattern on one side. Head is 2-1/2” square, overall the mallet is approximately 8-1/2” long. Hand wash both items, no dishwasher.
