Description

As with all traditional Japanese saws, cuts on the pull stroke and the smaller teeth make for a very smooth, clean cut. Nickel plated and rust-proof, it features a locking blade that folds snugly into its beechwood handle protects the blades teeth and makes it easy to toss in the toolbox. Overall length: 21” long when open and 11½” long when closed. The 9½” long blade is .6mm thick. Made in Japan.

Replacement blades for the kataba saw are available for individual purchase.

Reviews

High quality, lightweight, excellent cuts

"This saw immediately went in to my ""favorites"" tool bag and hasn't left. It's super light weight but the blade is lovely - it makes gorgeous cuts. Not the fastest saw I have, but the only hand saw I use for visible edges. The folding mechanism is smooth and solid. Really love it."

Great product, abysmal slow shipping.

"The saw itself is a fine instrument, and I have no complaints. The shipping was abysmally slow. It took ten days to arrive, so I am glad I ordered early."

Paul (5/5)

nice tool

"The greatest piece of saws I have--Westen or Japanese."
