Description
We based the design of our exclusive Old World Oak Tool Carrier on an antique version we came across, and the silhouette and handle shape will be instantly familiar with woodworkers and craftspeople who know a bit of their trade’s history. This is a carrier that the village carpenter might have brought to the house when doing some light repairs, holding the absolute essential parts of his traveling toolkit: chisels, rasps, saws, planes, and a wide assortment of measuring and marking tools. The heart of the Tool Carrier is its two broad, deep storage areas, one out in the open and another in the sturdy, dovetailed pull-out drawer. These are large enough to hold your bigger tools, including backsaws, a brace and assorted bits, a push drill, hammers and mallets, planes, and so on. The top section also includes a removeable caddy for smaller tools and screws, allowing you to organize your marking knives, pencils, rulers, dividers, and drill bits when you’re working. (If you don’t need the caddy, simply remove it and utilize the extra open space in the top storage area. Made from solid oak (with plywood on the bottom of the drawer), this is a piece that’s built to use and built to last. Measures 17” H x 24” W x 11” D and weighs 17.2 lbs. Only available from Garrett Wade.

Oak Tool Carrier
"Overall nice piece . . would be better to have carcass 1/2” though . ."
Perfect
"I have read bout building my own wooden tool carrier. But I am not skilled enough to build even a simple one. This one from Garret Wade is really well made and very sophisticated with the bottom drawer, which I use for screws and bolts and small sailing hardware. I love it."
Tool Carrier
"It is well made, and it was a reasonable price."
Excellent Tool Carrier
"The Tool Carrier is an excellent piece of workmanship. It was packaged so that it arrived in perfect condition. I am using it more as a piece of furniture and conversation piece rather than something I would tote around the house for repair jobs. . . it's too nice for that. I get a lot of admiring comments when folks see it. I highly recommend this Tool Carrier."
very good

Old World Tool Carrier
"Very impressed with the build quality & price of item was very reasonable. Also very secure packaging,it arrived in perfect condition. Plenty of protection for it during its shipping voyage. Thought about building one of these sometime, but for the fair price chargedfor a ready made item I couldnt spend 2 days building it,even though the amount of White Oak would be minimal & wood was free from my inventory. A couple days later after it arrived I did 1 minor change/addition to it,which improves its use a great deal. Made a small flip up latch from a piece of White Oak in my scrap box 1/4"" thick,1 1/4"" wide,2 inches long, attached with one #7 x 3/4"" cabinet screw. To keep the drawer from opening or falling out when the tool carrier is being transported,,just in case I forget to have the drawer side facing me when its being carried around. A very simple 10 minute project, that makes a good thing even better,"
Well-made tool carrier
"This is a well made, highly useful tool carrier. I’m impressed with the sturdy construction and pleasing design. I’ve already started using it around my home."
Old World Oak Tool Carrier
"Nicely made tool carrier. Relatively lightly built for its size. I wouldn’t use it to carry a lot of heavier tools such as pipe wrenches and socket sets, but it’s perfect for modest loads."
