Description

The seam ripper’s job is to remove stitches, open seams, and sometimes cut buttonholes. These are all important parts of most sewing projects, yet the typical seam ripper is so cheaply (and poorly) made, it comes by the dozen. We’ve changed this. Our seam ripper has a precisely machined brass body and cap, and the very best steel blade. Its weight helps keep it steady as you work. The handle is a hollow compartment for storing needles, secured by a simple cap that screws into place. Altogether, this is a tool designed to work wonderfully, look beautiful and last a lifetime. Length is 5½".

Our design now has a removable head in case your blade breaks or gets dull. Simply unscrew the old blade, replace, and you're ready to go. Replacement heads are also available.

Overall rating: 4.8854165 / 5 from 96 reviews.

Delightfully strong

"Great seam ripper with storage for a replacement sharp top."

Jane M. (5/5)

AMAZING!!

"I had been looking around for a seam ripper that was tough and durable and would last a long time, and there was hardly anything on the market. When I found this one, I had a hunch it would be good. I waited until there was a good sale and ordered one. I LOVE it! Solid feel, nice heaviness to it without being too much. The textured grip is very nice, and the metal thread as you unscrew either side is clean and feels smooth and well done. The spot for needles is excellent! 10/10!"

Worth it!

"After years of terrible, flimsy plastic seam rippers I finally found something that looked like quality. So I ordered it. It really delivers on those looks! It feels substantial without feling heavy, and it cuts sooo smooth. This is the ""grown-up"" version of the tool you never knew could be better! Buy one now!!"

Q&A

I am looking for a seam ripper with a tip that is slightly bent for hooking into a stitch. They used to make them with a hooked tip but haven't found one in the past few years. Does this one have a slightly bent tip?
Nancy, the tip on our seam ripper is straight unfortunately. Thank you.
Where can I get the replacement?
