The European Ash handles are comfortable in the hand, and long enough to save your back when breaking up hard earth. Made in Germany to our specifications by a long-respected blacksmith foundry. Really Wonderful Digging Head - Why Such a SHORT Handle

"I really love the job this does on working up soil in my garden beds. Unfortunately, if you are more than about 5 feet tall, the short handle makes this a Back Pain Special"

Q&A

About the 3 tine 41" cultivator - I have wonderful loam soil, but live in extreme drought Northern California (very close to the Sacramento River). How tough is this tool really? Every few years I completely bend a heavy duty garden fork.
Teresa, If you use it to "chop" an area first i.e. break the soil loose and then cultivate it should work. If you bury the tines and then pry, not sure there is tine cultivator that wont bend.
