Feet on the ground. Ten years of professional reach in one tool. The pole saw the arborists use is the one we sell — without the arborist’s hourly rate.

The Design

Three Poles. One Blade. No Compromises.

Annotated diagram of the Hi-Reach 19 ft Pole Saw showing Japanese blade, branch hook, USA-made poles, and 19-foot assembly

Japanese Steel Blade

15-inch curved blade forged in Japan. Cuts on the pull stroke for clean, controlled action. Handles branches up to 4 inches in diameter. Replacement blades available.

USA-Made Fiberglass Poles

Three interlocking 6-foot sections made in the United States. Lightweight, strong, non-conductive. Use one, two, or all three depending on the height of the job.

Branch Hook

The frame doubles as a hook. Cut the branch, then use the frame to pull it down safely. No need for a second tool or a second person standing below.

Modular Assembly

7 feet with one pole. 13 feet with two. 19 feet with all three. Interlock only what the job requires. Disassemble in seconds for storage or transport.

The Blade

Clean Cuts Heal. Ragged Cuts Don’t.

The difference between a pruning cut that heals and one that invites fungal infection is the cleanness of the cut itself. A ragged tear from a dull saw or a snapped branch leaves an open wound the tree cannot callus over before insects find it. A clean cut, the tree handles in weeks.

The 15-inch curved Japanese blade cuts on the pull stroke, giving you control even at full 19-foot extension. Clean, even cuts through branches up to four inches. Forged in Japan to the same standard the country’s own arborists rely on. Replacement blades are available; you should not need one for years.

Common Questions

Before You Buy

The full three-pole assembly with blade weighs approximately 6.5 lbs. The fiberglass construction keeps it manageable even at full 19-foot extension.

Yes. The three 6-foot poles interlock independently. Use one pole for about 7 feet of reach, two for 13 feet, or all three for the full 19 feet. Only connect what the job requires.

The 15-inch curved Japanese steel blade handles branches up to approximately 4 inches in diameter. For thicker limbs, multiple passes or a different tool may be needed.

Yes. Replacement 15-inch curved blades are sold separately on garrettwade.com. The blade attaches with a simple bolt system for easy swaps.

Late winter through early spring, before new growth begins. Trees are dormant, wounds heal fastest, and you can see the branch structure clearly without leaves. Dead or hazardous branches can be removed any time of year.

Lives up to its reviews

"The perfect tool for my needs. I was worried that the long reach would make it difficult to manuver the saw. But, it dut througn maple, crabapple and sycamore like butter. Could not be happier with the performance."

William B. (5/5)

Awesome Saw!!!

"This saw is better than any one I’ve used from the big box stores! I love how it’s segments that are pinned together instead of being retractable it’s easier to change height. The blade is super sharp (be careful handling it) and cuts really fast! The reach height js really good and honestly it’s an all around great tool to have when you have a ton of trees to tend to"

Patrick Q. (5/5)

Sharp and Capable Pole Saw

"Fantastic piece of equipment. So much so that I bought a second for my parents. Eat to use even when fully extended. Finally replaced the blade on my original after ten years of sometimes heavy use."

Ellery S. (5/5)

Great saw ! We have

"Great saw ! We have a tree farm and trim the tall oaks with it. The saw is very sharp ."

Theodore F. (5/5)

I like the saw very

"I like the saw very well. Works great at 12 feet but is heavier than expected at 19 feet. I am sure it would be fine for a younger person but at the age of 83 I am not as strong as I used to be. It cuts much better than those at the big box stores."

John B. (4/5)

Haven’t used it yet, saw

"Haven’t used it yet, saw blade screws were missing and I just received yesterday . Product looks well made. Looking forward to using it."

Nomar V. (5/5)

Pole saw

"The saw worked great for removing high limbs that I could not reach with a ladder. Being 71years old it was remarkably light weight and easy to use."

Q&A

Can additional poles be bought separately to increase reach?
We don't sell additional poles. While you can use it with one, two, or three poles, any more it becomes harder to control and use effectively.
Can the blade on this pole saw be sharpened or do you have to replace?
Dennis, the blade can be sharpened but because it has these Japanese style fine teeth, a special triangular file is needed. Thank you.
My 19-foot pole saw just arrived. The large screw that holds the blade does not fit into the hole in the metal bracket. I can use a file to enlarge the hole but is this normal? Seems like a minor fix but is quite frustrating considering the cost of the pole. Have you experienced this before?
Bo, I havent experienced this before. Often customers have a little trouble putting the extensions together until I explain they just snap in. I apologize for the manufacturing problem and appreciate that you are willing to correct it yourself. Thank you
How do the pole sections connect? Currently I have a pole saw which often collapses due to the poor design of a hand tightening connector, which often loosens during use. Also, what is the length of each section, and how many sections are there?
Andy, The poles have metal attaching points. Each pole is attached via metal male/ female tube and is secured with a spring loaded pin. If you look at the item on our website, there is a photo below the larger picture that will show you how they work.
Are these in stock? How do I find what you have in stock for all your products?
Garry, yes the pole saw is in stock. We have 268 in stock. Generally, if we are out of stock on an item, the website will indicate that as out of stock.
