Description
A boon to arborists and other outdoor workers who need to reach up high into branches for trimming, this cutter will give you years of use and make your job much, much easier. And for those whose backyard trees are taking up just a bit too much room, these can help you get the job done.
This long reach Cutter is strong but light, with durable aluminum alloy handles. The cutting jaws are sharp and easily activated with the wide giraffe-style handle action, and the cutting head can also be rotated – a big plus in crowded branch situations. A hook on the back aids in grabbing and pulling down loose branches, and a handy removable nylon harness is included to give your back a break when putting in long hours carrying it around.

Note: Tool is 59" fixed. At 5'8" tall, a person can reach approximately 10'. Maximum branch diameter is 1-3/8” depending on species. For example, a pine branch would be softer and easier to cut than an oak branch. A replacement blade is available here.

"I love it able to reach in hard to get spaces and best of its light weight easy to handle."
"I bought this item months ago, but wasn't able to use it until today (Oregon weather made it not feasible). It works like a dream. It's light and easy to use. I trimmed high tree branches away from my house and also trimmed clematis growing onto the roof. Many more tasks in mind for this tool. Love It - this will make my gardening work so much easier (and fewer tasks to pay to have done)."
"I was concerned when ordering this, about the weight, because the description indicates extra shipping for ""weight"" I later learned that the extra shipping is for the size. The tool itself is lightweight and easy, though a bit awkward, to use, but it keeps the arborist at bay, a little longer. I had read a review by an 87-year-old gentleman extolling its virtues, so I figured that this 76 year-old woman would be able to use it as well. And yes, I can."
"It's well built and works great! I'm less agile than I used to be and this tool lets me trim branches (high and low) that I can't otherwise reach. Although I prefer anvil cutters to bypass, this trimmer is very sharp and effective. I also bought a few extra blades."
"I really love the quality of materials and the reach of the tool. Because all the trees have sap flowing right now, I won't be able to really use the pruner until fall. All Garrett Wade tools are well-made."
"Nice pruners. They do the job well."
"They work great! So easy to use. love them!"
"East to reach high areas"
"Best tree trimmer I own"
"At eighty-five years old, I trim my own trees--apple trees, cottonwoods, Chinese elm, mulberry, locust and local varieties. I find using the trimmer is just right to reach smaller branches that are too high for my hand trimmer and too small for my tree saw. Unfortunately, the nut on the blade screw fell off or was never installed, and the screw fell out the first night I used it. I improvised a replacement, and the cutter/trimmer is now working well."
