Description

Damascus steel blades were traditionally made by an age-old, hand forged process of folding and refolding layers of red-hot high-carbon steel and iron. The result is not only a beautiful blade, but one that is extra tough and super sharp. Our model uses contemporary methods to achieve the same beautiful swirls and contours in the blade. Damascus Folders are typically very expensive, however, this one is astonishingly modest in cost. The handsome scales are made of dyed wood.  Highly recommended as an exceptional value and a modern take on an ancient style. USA-made Leather Belt Sheath sold separately.

Damascus blade folding knife, absolutely beautiful!

"Great, I like it!"

BRAD B. (5/5)

Well built, functional folding knife.

"well built, heft feels great in the hand. I like the length of the blade and is a heavy duty folding knife. Great workmans ship. The unlocking botton is a bit unhandy, it takes considerable force to unlock the blade for folding. On the other hand the blade will never become unlocked by accident."

"This beautiful knife was a gift for my best bud, so the pressure was on. He loved it but almost had to fight his sixteen year old daughter to keep it. She’s an outdoor girl who can take care of herself and a great Damascus Steel knife would make that task just a bit more manageable. I am thinking that there just might be another one in that home with an upcoming birthday not too far away."

Nice addition to the collection

"Beautiful knife and very sharp but there was a little grit in the mechanism."

"I ordered this knife during the sale and saved a good deal of money. I am a knife aholik . . The knife came fairly sharp, but I ran the the blade over a sharping steel and in three runs on the steel for both sides it probably is sharp enough to shave with. I really like this knife. And on top of everything else it is a GREAT Looking knife. Larry B."

So is this real damascus steel or is it an acid wash? Just want to get my dad the real deal so i wanna make sure :)
All of the Damascus blades made today are Pattern Welded Steel and after grinding and shaping the blade is acid washed to bring out the pattern on the blade. This is how the knife you are asking about is made, The pattern on the blade was not made by just some surface etching.
Is this a good knife to have for hunting and fishing? Does it come with a case?
There is a sheath but we will be out of stock on the sheath till mid August.
I just purchased this knife. My concern is it razor sharp.
There is pretty much a standard grind for sharpness by knife manufacturers which that knife has. Razor sharp would indicate you would be able to shave with it. I doubt that is the case with any of our knifes. Although that can be done with a final "honing" of the edge by the owner or a sharpening service.
