Description
With its ball bearing design and tough covering, this can be used with any power take-off drill press, portable power drill, or a grinder (if properly equipped). The 54" length lets you easily work a distance away and the 3/8" chuck allows you to use a huge variety of grinding bits, sanding disks, burrs and other small rotary cutting tools. Chuck will hold bits up to 3/8" diameter. The tip of the chuck to the end of the handle measures 8". The handle itself measures 6". This tool is a terrific value.
Note: This flex shaft (like most of this type) is designed only for forward (clockwise) rotation. You may damage the steel cable if you attempt use it in reverse rotation. Made in China.

High Quality Flex Shaft!. . . BUT. . .
"I'm really pleased with the quality of this flex shaft. It's one of those tools that you may not need very frequently, but when you do? Nothing else will suffice! I only have one negative critique to mention that I wish I had known before purchasing it. . . The chuck-end of the shaft is small and round, and NOT the typical hex-shape that you would expect. No matter how hard you tighten-down the drill chuck, the shaft spins in the chuck when put under anything but a light load. This severely limits it's usefulness :-( That being said, I'm still happy that I purchased it. It's a great tool!"

"This is a rare item that years ago was widely available. The ball bearing assembly makes this very smooth and accurate. Some jobs require such a tool. It is not for heavy duty work; the tool is held in one hand. But it works very well where a hobby tool is simply not strong enough."
