Spring Loaded Clasp
"The best part of using them that I didn't see in the description: the clasp at the base is spring loaded with three positions. You can release the clasp simply by squeezing the handle. Close it with one hand by squeezing the handles, then swiping it against your leg (similar to the motion used to open a zippo lighter). Very convenient when frequently taking it in and out of a pocket! The clasp can also be flipped up into the handle and out of the way when working. And the cast iron handles are surprisingly comfortable!"

"I usually try to avoid the vernacular of amazing to describe something great because it's so overused, so I'll l use the 1980s term awesome instead. This thing is the BEST to cut stems, roses etc. Super sharp so watch your other hand when using it. I like this style far better than any that use one sharp tine one flat base to cut on; those tend to shred vs clean cut. Like all other products sold here, you won't find at any brick and mortar store. . ."

- My husband bought me these and I liked them allot except the bolt has falled off. I would have expected these to be much sturdier given the cost. So dissappointed.
