Description

Some tools are simply more efficient, more thoughtfully designed than others. We're really impressed by this one in particular. Anyone who's ever used a standard hose reel understands the frustration that comes with winding your hose back in, only for it to spill over the edge and get tangled, kinked, and stuck. This little marvel of Italian engineering solves all those problems, as a very simple system - basically a feeder pulley on a threaded rod - automatically guides the hose as you reel it in, moving from side to side and distributing the hose evenly as it goes. (It's very satisfying just to watch.) A telescoping handle makes the whole unit that much more compact for winter storage & easy to roll around in the warm months. The tough, long-lasting hose itself deserves some time in the spotlight as well; its design eliminates kinking, twisting, knotting, and is three times lighter than traditional hoses. Soft-touch quick-connect hardware on each end makes setup & changing simple, and the ergonomic 8-jet nozzle should cover just about all of your watering needs. Made in Italy.

Not perfect, but pretty close for my needs.

"This little, lightweight hose cart almost has it all! Swiveling quick connections at the sprayer and where the water supply connects to the cart. Having a swiveling quick connect at the sprayer that does not leak is very nice and helps with ease of use by not constantly wrangling the hosed due to tension. And when pulling the hose out to where it is needed around your property, the hose magically pops itself straight when a traditional hose would become tangled or pinched. Very nice feel to the hose and sprayer. By the way the sprayer that came with mine is the lighter colored/beige one. It has some unusual but good spray options that seem to fit any need. When I first received this hose/cart, if was mostly fully assembled, so I took it out of the box and started to unwind it to see how it worked, and was disappointed when the whole cart immediately fell over. I was also suspicious of the quick connections that are all plastic. I was going to return the unit, but also remembered that this hose setup has a lot of nice features that are not available on any other hose reel I have seen in this price range. I decided to try a little harder to make it work, and glad I did. The cart tipping is still an issue, but I resolved that by staking the cart to the ground. Kind-of defeats the purpose of having a cart on wheels, but I do not plan on moving it around as the length of the hose and placement I have of the cart allow me to use it throughout my property. If I do need to move the cart, the stakes easily can be removed and the cart relocated. The reeling/guiding mechanism mostly works nicely, especially when the hose is full of water. Hopefully the quick connections last, they are all plastic, but they surprisingly do not leak at all. I did not need to use any teflon tape on any of the connections. Also, the instructions are a little odd, so you will need to really think about what you are doing before following the instructions. The instructions say to cut about 6 feet of the hose off and use that to connect from your spigot to the cart in-feed connections. I did not need to do that as I already had an in-feed hose hooked up from my water supply. The shipment comes with extra/various connectors and I think one of the pieces was missing a piece, especially if following the instructions. That could be an issue for you. Overall I like it and it is working nicely."
