Crafted by one of our go-to blacksmiths, this twine holder with a metal thread stand has a rugged, hammered look that adds style and function to your workshop or crafting room. It has two holes on the vertical shaft that make it wall-mountable (hardware not included), a hanger for scissors, and a hook at the top to guide your twine. It’s heavy enough that it works hands-free on your desk or work table. The spool is about 8” tall, so it works in tandem with our 155-foot rolls of Jute or any twine you might have.

"Didn’t think to check the spec when I ordered it so thi is more on me than GW. But nevertheless, it seams so self evident to me that any adequate twine dispenser would have some form of sharpened edge to cut the twine as it is dispensed, it never occurred to me to look for it. In short, nice looking, wrought iron dispenser and I suppose I could hang a small knife on a “twine” lanyard on it . :)"

"Once I got it cleaned up I like it a lot. The only problem I had with it is that it was wrapped in paper inside the box. When I unwrapped the paper there must have been a pound of some unknown powder inside the paper wrapper with the holder. Not knowing what the powder was I put on a dust mask and took it outside to try to clean the powder off everything. I was unable to clean the powder out of the center and from between the wraps of twine on the spool of twine that was included with with the holder and ended up wrapping the twine back up with the powder in the paper and putting it in the trash. I then washed the holder in warm soapy water and dried it afterwards before I felt comfortable taking off my mask."

"This particular device has a couple different uses in my ""man cave. "" Most of the time, it is used to hold twine where I need it. But I also use it on one of my treddle sowing machines when I do repairs to the canvas on my sail boat. The weight of the device makes sure it stays where I place it. This is quite a device and is very helpful."
