Description

Dimensions: 8” long x 5 ¼” wide

Materials: Constructed of beech and galvanized steel

How to Use: Slide the front tines under a particularly full stem, pull taut, and use a short snap of the wrist once you feel pressure.  It takes a little getting used to but soon becomes second nature.

Product Details & Craftsmanship: Save yourself the effort (and stained fingers) with our unique “Huckleberry Comb” Berry Harvester.  Made in Germany and based on a centuries-old design, it’s an ingenious tool—the type of thing born of a homesteader’s necessity and smarts. We recommend this harvester for small, round berries—think blueberries, cranberries, and, of course, huckleberries—this works like a dream. (We don’t recommend this for harvesting soft, seedy berries like raspberries or blackberries, which are too delicate and should still be picked by hand).

Q&A

Can someone post a video of how to use it?
Monica, seems like we've missed the huckleberry season. Maybe we can have a video ready for next season. In the meantime, try looking on Google, there are a few hints there about picking. Thank you.
Hello. I was wondering what the measurement between the teeth of the comb are? I’m looking to use it for low bush blueberries which are somewhat smaller than high bush blueberries. Thank you!
Heather, the teeth are 1/4" apart. Thank you
Is the rake for larger cultivated blueberries or the smaller wild huckleberry?
Jan, the harvester works well with huckleberries and blueberries. Not recommended for softer fruits like blackberries or raspberries. Thank you
Do you think this would be suitable for harvesting chamomile blooms?
Rosie, some of us here have used it for that very purpose. It worked well. Thank you
