Description
Made of fully forged stainless steel with handles a full 5/16" thick. But there's something about the geometry of the design that simply powers-up your hand and makes them very comfortable to use.
The cutting edges are 3" and come apart for cleaning. It seems that they will cut almost anything - although we have not yet tested hardened sheet steel. Buff satin finish. We couldn't possibly recommend them more.

My favorite kitchen shears of all time
"I'm left-handed, so I've gone through my fair share of "ambidextrous" kitchen shears. Many don't work as well as advertised, break down in their flimsiness with my heavy kitchen use (I butcher my own chickens, and some of them are tough old soup birds), or are a pain in my behind to clean or sharpen. By process of elimination, these kitchen shears are one of the best investments I've ever made in "forever" kitchen tools. They have heft to them, they can cut through anything you'd expect to cut with kitchen shears, and more, come apart and get put back together in one quick motion, and are dishwasher safe, AND can be sharpened quickly with a normal whetstone or kitchen steel, if they need to be. They hold their edge very well. It's a few years out yet, but when my kids move out on their own, this is high up on my list of a "starter" kit for their home kitchens."
