Q&A
- Can you pick up a round and drop it one-handed?
- Tom, You cannot drop it one handed. You would have to set it on the ground to release That can be done one handed. I don't think you can drop it 2 handed either
- I'm looking at the "one handed log tongs" 54A03.47. The product description says that they "work by a system where one stationary jaw and one free-swinging jaw work in tandem" I'm curious to know which jaw is stationary and which is free swinging. Looks to me like they both move relative to the user, the log and each other. Neither can be free swinging, they are both bolted to a framework which changes shape to allow some movement. It's not a big thing but the person attempting to explain how a tool works should first use the tool to gain an understanding of it's method of operation. Thank you
- We appreciate the question. We may be discussing semantics here but the description is mostly accurate. When using the tool, only one jaw opens to accept and clamp the log. The other does not open but changes plane ever so slightly. I did not write the copy but I have used the tool and might have described it the same way, or, just described it as a one handed tool.
