"I got these as a Christmas present just this week. They’re sharp and comfortable. I cut some basil leaves and sweet potato vine cuttings no problem. A bypass pruner would probably be better for heavy duty stuff but I image these would work even for harvesting eggplant or other thick limb veggies. I can’t comment on durability since I have had them only one week, but they are assembled with rivets rather than screws, so sharpening will need to be done while assembled. Not a big deal."
