"Excellent Quality and Craftsmanship"
"This is one excellent splitter. Head is 2800g or 6. 17 pounds. The pattern is a lot like a Fiskars, but on steroids and with a wood handle. I love Fiskars splitting axes, but the metal is a little soft; not no with this axe, i think the steel is very good, and the bit is tough. And unlike a Fiskars, it has a little beak that is good for grabbing wood without bending over. IT WILL GET STUCK IN THE WOOD!!! You will not be wasting energy trying to get this axe out of the end of a log. The handle is robust, but if I had one complaint, it is FAT. Not as fat as gripping the wrong end of a baseball bat, but the size makes my hands tired too soon. This is easily resolved with some 80 grit sandpaper, but I haven't yet had the heart to cut into that nice orange painted grip. I've had mine for a year now, I had to buy two of my sons their own for Christmas so I wouldn't have to fight them for mine when we're doing firewood. I gave four stars, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. I do wish they would make one in the same pattern, but a pound or pound and a half lighter, and with a thinner grip on the handle. The Fiskars x25 and x27 are about 4 lbs, I bet a lot of people would love to see a splitter with a similar pattern and weight, but with a a wooden handle and better metal like this Super Splitter. Overall great tool and Garrett-Wade was excellent to trade with."
"Got this to split logs. Works."
"I got this for my son who’s is 19 and he has made short work of the many trees we have cut down. Our wood pile is growing exponentially large! He actually made a TikTok profile called “wood splits”. The handle is made from beautiful Hickory wood. Despite being too heavy for me to handle, his 6’1” 210 frame handles it with ease. The steel collar protector is also a very nice feature. The only thing I am disappointed in is that it came with a VERY cheap vinyl sheath that the stitching was frayed when we got it. We were disappointed that it wasn’t a nice leather sheath. When spending $165, you would expect to get something of equal quality as the tool itself."
"I have been using my Super Splitter for two seasons and I love it. I especially like the ergonomic handle and it has held its edge after a significant amount of use. Two previous big box store purchases were unwieldy, poorly balanced and made me work twice as hard. It's amazing that this one is lighter weight and it does a better job - a win win!"
"Best maul ever. My husband said wood splitting has never been this easy!"
"This splitting ax explodes rounds. Solid. Handle is gorgeous."
"Axe arrived sooner than expected, which was amazing! The design is truly beautiful and works like a gem ! Highly recomended !"
"Great quality and works awesome!"
"Very nice. . doesn’t get stuck in the log at all. My only complaint is that it could be a bit heavier"
