There’s nothing remotely delicate about these tools. No matter how tough the material you have to cut, these will do the job. The cutting blades are drop-forged and thicker than normal, and very sharp. The aluminum handles use more material than usual and the attachment fittings are substantial. The purpose of the design is to provide tools that are significantly more robust. Handles on the Loppers are 22" long. You now have what you need to do the job. The rubber fitted ends of the handles are comfortable and very easy to grip. Substantial rubber bumpers absorb the closing jolt of repetitive work.

- Are these considered lightweight for their class of lopper? I appreciate the hardiness of the tool -- I clear abandoned trails in remote WA and it destroys loppers. I need to backpack these 30+ miles over mountains to do my work, and while this model weighs more than my tent, if it performs it's worth every ounce.

- Matthew, the lopper blades open to 1 1/2" . We don't sell replacement blades but these blades can be dressed with a mill file and sharpened with stones. Thank you
