Reviews

The best part of the best!

"I’m a trail builder for decades. No other trail tool gets even close to the efficacy and beauty of the German cutter mattock!"

Perfect tool

"Great garden tool. Perfect for loosing up soil and the axe blade is awesome for cutting roots."

Great Mattock

Darren K. (5/5)

so far so good

"wider cutter side means less missed swings. curved grubbing side helps to dislodge material. I`m usually working with heavy red clay."

Grady B. (5/5)

Substantial Garden Tool

"This mattock is substantial. Heavy, as it should be. And the long handle allows for considerable force coming down. It would be nice if they had provided a wedge for the handle as I'm a little wary of how well the head is attached. It seems fine, but there is a gap that leaves me feeling it could be more secure."

BOSWELL K. (4/5)

Much better than a traditional

"Much better than a traditional cutter mattock. Used in Florida garden/lawn with many surface oak tree roots."

Rene H. (5/5)

Rational German Mattok

"Really dug into the ground, we have lots of rocks and gravel."

ANTOINETTE F. (5/5)

Don't break the handle!

"A nice, heavy, well-made mattock. I used mine twice and broke the handle prying on a tree root. They used to sell replacement handles but now they are unavailable. The hole for the handle IS NOT a standard size like you might find at the store so the only alternative is to whittle something down to size and make it work. I don't understand how they can manufacture and sell the mattock but can't sell a replacement handle."

Steve (3/5)

Best Tool I've Ever Owned

"Perfect head weight to handle length. Lots of leverage/power without tiring you out; you can swing this thing all day. Perfect for chopping roots, digging up stumps, or trenching. This mattock makes back-breaking work enjoyable."

Q&A

How much is shipping? How long till i receive the maddock after ordering?
Charleen, shipping is 3/5 working days by UPS. Than you.
Is the handle purchased separately? I received the head but can't use it because I didn't receive the handle. Must I purchase a handle? With the price of this mattock I would expect a handle to be included, not to mention I spent a fortune on shipping! Will you be sending me a handle for the mattock? Please advise.
Pamela, Checking your order, there is an no charge order for your Mattock handle and should ship today. Please accept our apology for the error.
Any idea if I can get a replacement handle for this from the manufacturer?
