Description
Perhaps you’re interested in delving into lockpicking as a hobby. Or, maybe you see a locksmithing career in your future. Either way, we at Garrett Wade are here to help you to perfect this craft with our lock pick practice set. This American-made set will help you to master the intellectual and tactile sides of picking locks. In no time, you can familiarize yourself with a lock’s workings. And in the end, you’ll experience the satisfaction of opening these logical yet complex devices.
Lock Pick Practice Set for the Budding Locksmith
Our lock pick training set at Garrett Wade is designed to start you at the novice level. From there, you will learn how to overcome more complicated lockpicking situations. This is all possible thanks to the set’s five total lock cylinders. The first one includes one pin set, the second one has two, and so on.
To use this customizable set, simply snap your chosen cylinder into the clear insert. The pins should be oriented on either the bottom or the top. Next, slide the cylinder into our base stand. The stand is stable to mimic a solid wood door. This set will grow with you as you become more skilled at lockpicking over time.
Our lock pick practice set features a tension tool, four picks, and a tool you’ll use to rake across your lock. We also include an instructional guide. Note that the locks are designed to fit pins with a diameter of .115”.

New skill!
"Loved this! Checked off a new skill this week!"
Special Christmas
"Very special Christmas surprise."
Set is Good, Book is Not
"The stand and incrementally pinned locks is a great way for beginners to learn the “sport” of lock picking. The companion booklet however is poorly written and illustrated. This set misses a tremendous opportunity to explain (and diagram) how tumbler pin locks work and the elements of how lock picks bypass the pins. There are better pick sets and videos on the techniques available elsewhere. Also, for the money it should have included a case for the tools. I made a leather roll which is better than any plastic thing they would have included."
Very practical
"It is very easy to learn. Good investment !"
Expected better
"The actual locks and pick are fine- good even but the instruction “book” is poor. It is cheaply produced and written very poorly. Disappointed."
Anthony Was good practicing on Sundays because sometimes I lose keys and I can’t get into the door so it’s good to know how to do it

Q&A
- What's to prevent thieves from taking advantage of this training and product?
- Dear Jennifer, Thank you for your comment. We understand your concern. The set is really for learning the basics for those who are interested in the locksmith trade or curious people who like to have a multitude of life skills. Bad actors are bad actors. Learning to pick locks is a challenging task, We would think a criminal would find an easier way like a glass cutter or a crowbar.
- First using derogatory implied sexual advertising to sell French knives, now selling and promoting tools of the criminal trade, bringing to the mainstream the promotion of criminal behavior? My question is why degrade your companies image with promoting this product? Nice products, past purchases were great, but I can not support this product. Please unsubscribe.
- Dear Mr. Dunklee, We're very sorry to hear that you feel this way. We can assure you that we certainly don't intend to convey this sort of message, neither with the French knives nor with the lock picking training set. This is a tool intended to teach people to be locksmiths, which is a trade that requires specialized skills. It’s for the trade and hobbyist not criminals. Again, we sincerely apologize that you feel this way. We have unsubscribed you from our mailing list, as per your request.
