This vintage “Chevalin” knife comes from the Thiers region of France, renowned as a center of traditional knifemaking. Historically intended for horse butchery (horse is traditionally consumed in France), it excels as an all-around large kitchen knife, and will be a valued part of your cooking and carving arsenal. It features a rosewood handle with 3 brass rivets, and a ½ tang stainless steel blade. It measures 12 ¾” L, with a 7 ½” blade.
