Vintage Yatagan Carving Knife

We discovered these Historical knives, and cleaned and sharpened them up, including this 8” Carver, an elegant Turkish-style Kitchen Knife. The intriguing blade profile was inspired, we think, by the historic Yatagan knife. The stainless blade dips slightly down at the tip, a silhouette reminiscent of a classic Ottoman short saber. It's a great all-around utility blade, but excellent for carving up your Sunday roasts and holiday hams and turkeys. Features redwood scales held by three brass pins. 12-½” overall. These were hand-crafted years ago (but never before used), so slight variations make each knife unique. From Thiers, France, well known as one of the world's greatest cutlery centers. With proper care, these will be good for years of use in your home. Hand-wash only, no dishwasher.
