You may not know her by name, but you’re likely familiar with landscape architect and botanist Beatrix Farrand’s work. Farrand is responsible for the designs of what we now know as the White House Rose Garden, the gardens of the National Cathedral, as well as hundreds of other public and private outdoor spaces across the United States.
These beautiful botanical notecards pay homage to Farrand’s work as a botanical archivist who pressed and preserved over 900 species of plants, 12 of which were photographed and curated as a part of this set. The cards are a tribute to not just Farrand’s work, but to the beautiful specimens themselves, tended with care in her gardens.
